Bury Volunteers Promote Alcohol Awareness Week
On a grey and drizzly Saturday, volunteers from One Recovery Bury braved the rain to support Alcohol Awareness Week. Alcohol Awareness Week aims to promote the dangers of hazardous alcohol consumption and the resulting implications, particularly in regards to health.
Armed with a raft of leaflets and flyers, our volunteers were in Bury town centre to raise awareness amongst the general public of the influence that alcohol consumption can have on our health, as well as signpost the One Recovery Bury service. The volunteers spoke to a range of people and gave away over 250 information packs.
We want to say a big thank you to our volunteers for helping promote alcohol awareness week and ensure members of the public are aware of the implications of hazardous alcohol consumption.
